The PCA Group of Companies is currently seeking an Associate Merchandise Planner.
The Associate Merchandise Planner will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of merchandise plans to optimize product assortments, inventory levels, and sales. The Associate Merchandise Planner will analyze sales data, forecast demand, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products are effectively positioned to meet customer needs and drive sales growth.
The Associate Merchandise Planner Essential Functions:
- Sales Analysis: Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and market trends for Bloomingdale's and HBC. Identify opportunities and risks to inform merchandise planning decisions.
- Demand Forecasting: Assist in developing accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and promotional activities. Adjust forecasts as needed to optimize inventory levels.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability. Collaborate with the supply chain team to coordinate replenishment and minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
- Assortment Planning: Support the development of product assortments that align with customer preferences and sales goals. Ensure that assortments are tailored to the unique needs of Bloomingdale's and HBC.
- Promotional Planning: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional activities. Analyze the impact of promotions on sales and inventory levels and adjust plans accordingly.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and key metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to the merchandising and sales teams.
- Vendor Relations: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products. Communicate any changes in demand or inventory needs to vendors.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the merchandising, sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and support for merchandising initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve merchandise planning processes and systems. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in merchandise planning, preferably within the beauty, fashion, or retail industry. Experience working with major retailers such as Bloomingdale's and HBC are a plus.
- Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills. Proficiency in merchandise planning software and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge: Understanding of merchandising principles, inventory management, and demand forecasting. Familiarity with beauty products and market trends.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
Required Education and Competencies:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Merchandising, Finance, or a related field.
Salary commensurate upon experience ($75,000.00 to $85,000.00)
